About Us

Hope & Comfort is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit working to end hygiene insecurity and ensure everyone has access to the essential products they need to live with health, confidence, and dignity.

For too many individuals and families, basic necessities like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant are out of reach. These products are not covered by SNAP or WIC, yet going without them can affect school attendance, employment, physical and mental health, and everyday opportunities.

Founded in 2011, Hope & Comfort has distributed more than 20 million hygiene products through a growing network of more than 625 community partners, including schools, food pantries, shelters, and healthcare organizations. By purchasing products in bulk, we stretch donor dollars nearly eight times further than retail, making our model both efficient and scalable.

Beyond meeting immediate needs, Hope & Comfort is advancing research to better measure and understand hygiene insecurity, bringing greater visibility to an often-overlooked public health issue.

We partner with businesses, community organizations, foundations, and individuals through financial support, corporate volunteer opportunities, product donations, and community engagement.
