Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development Greg Bialecki will be the keynote speaker at our February  Exec-Connect luncheon, providing an overview of the Governor’s proposed FY2014 budget.  With many challenges facing the Commonwealth regarding taxes, education, transportation, housing and job creation, this is a unique opportunity to engage in discussion with one of the most influential stakeholders in the Governor’s cabinet.  MetroWest is a major growth area in the state and our business community will be directly impacted by the results of the budget process.  Secretary Bialecki will outline the issues and will present the Patrick Administration’s proposed solutions to meet those challenges.  There will be ample time for Q&A.  You will not want to miss this important conversation about the issues that affect your business each and every day.

Greg Bialecki has served as the Secretary of Housing and Economic Development since his appointment in 2009. As the Governor’s chief advisor, he oversees 14 agencies and focuses on the Governor’s top priorities in business development, housing & community development, consumer affairs, and business regulations agencies.  The Secretary’s agenda focuses on initiatives to strengthen and accelerate economic recovery, create stronger communities, and support technology and innovation throughout the Commonwealth.
In addition MassDOT Secretary & Chief Executive Officer, Rich Davey, will be on hand to talk about transportation  reform issues  and financing facing the Commonwealth.

Secretary Davey leads an organization that operates with a single mission: to provide a safe, reliable and efficient transportation network for residents of the Commonwealth.  Additionally, Governor Patrick charged him with implementing transportation reform that will allow MassDOT to lead the nation in transportation excellence.  Secretary Davey will achieve this goal by making a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and fiscal responsibility.
